このゲームが作り出された理由をキャシーは語ります…
アメリカで生まれ育った私は、かなり幼い頃から聖書を教えられていました。 初めて日本に来た時、ショックを受けたのは、牧師先生が説教の時に会衆に 「箴言４章１節を開いてください」等と言わずに、「聖書の～ページを開いてください」と告げていたのを聞いたときです。
そしてすぐに気づきました。 長年の間クリスチャンでありながら、聖書の正しい使い方や、何ページか言われなくては、どの書がどの辺りにあるかも全く分か らない人たちが数多くいることに。 神様はこのことを通して私に、人々が聖書を使いこなす為の方法、またその学びを通して楽しむことが出来るような方法を 探るようにとの重荷を与えて下さいました！
このプロセスをマスターして行くのに、ゲームはとても役に立つツールでした。日本に来て以来、神様の助けを得て考え出すことが出来たのは数種類のゲームだ けです。すべての年齢層の人たちが、聖書の学ぶ上で、これらのゲーム を用い、楽しみながら役立てて下さるように、私は祈っています。
聖書の訳：私たちの教会はバイリンガルで説教しておりますので、多く のゲームは、一緒にゲームをする人たちの言葉の壁を打ち破るために、日 本語と英語で作られています。 教会のメンバーの多くがＮＩＶ版と新改訳版の記載されたバイリンガル聖書を使用しているため、ゲームにもそれぞ れの訳を使用しています。
その他の訳：もしゲームの訳に関して、他の訳をご希望であれば、ご連 絡ください。すでに（パソコン内には）他の訳も用意されています。

WHY WERE THESE GAMES CREATED? Cathy tells us …
Growing up in America, I was taught to use the Bible at quite a young age. When I first came to Japan I was shocked to find pastors telling their congregation to “turn to page # ~ in your Bibles,” instead of simply saying “Turn to Proverbs 4:1.”
I quickly discovered that there were many people who had been Christians a long time who had no clue how to use their Bible and locate things for themselves … without being told the page number first. God gave me a real burden to find a way to help people learn how to use their Bibles, and enjoy themselves in the process of learning!
Using games has been a helpful tool in this process. These are only a few of the games that God has helped me develop over the years. It is my prayer that people of ALL ages will find them enjoyable and useful in the learning process.
TRANSLATIONS USED : Because our church is bi-lingual, many of the games have been created in Japanese and English, and can be used in mixed groups for tearing down language barriers as you learn. With the publication of the NIV and Shinkaiyaku translations in one bi-lingual Bible, and many of our members using this, I chose those two translations for the games.
OTHER TRANSLATIONS : If anyone has interest in using other translations of the Bible for these games, please contact me … as I already have (in my computer) some of the games in other translations.
